All our live-in care providers work under the direct supervision of a licensed professional. We help patients recovering from a hospital stay, people who are disabled, chronically ill, or cognitively impaired. We support individuals who need care to help them function as they had when they were younger and healthier. Live-in care, which is available on a short-term or long-term basis, provides the highest form of constant support at a cost-effective rate.
- discreet personal care, assistance with bathing, oral hygiene, eating, dressing, and toileting
- physical assistance, with transfers, medications, and ambulation
- household chores: cooking, light housekeeping, shopping, and laundry
Our live-in care providers are compassionate, sensitive and patient. They will generally do whatever is needed for clients who can’t live alone without help. They provide instruction and psychological support to clients; they accompany clients to doctor’s appointments or on other errands. They keep clients mentally healthy and alert by having conversations with them, playing games (crossword puzzles, scrabble, cards, etc.) and assisting them to be as physically active as possible.
Individuals want to remain at home for as long as possible. We work hand in hand with other health care professionals to make this a reality because we believe that teamwork is an essential component of home care. With emphasis on healthy living and illness prevention, we support a care plan that answers the need for greater and round-the-clock care.
