Covid-19

As CareIndeed continues to closely monitor and implement safety measures from national, state, and local government and health organizations, we have been focused on taking every precaution to safeguard the health of our clients and staff.   In an effort to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we have been working with partner agencies to ensure we are providing our community with medically accurate and timely information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The safety of our clients and staff is our top priority.

How Care Indeed is Mitigating Risk

  • Starting on March 9th, all Care Indeed office employees whose main business functions did not require them to be physically present began working remotely.
  • All offices were sanitized and communications about proper hand washing techniques and adherence to adopting the CDC's recommendations to prevent the spread of illness increased.
  • All employees were encouraged to stay home if they exhibited any signs of illness and regular screening of staff interacting with clients was implemented.
  • Non-critical in-person visitations by our Direct Care Supervisions with clients were paused. Check-ins with clients will be conducted via phone with the exception of those clients who require immediate in-person attention.
  • Routine in-person visitations to facilities and hospital partner staff have been paused to protect the health of their clients and our staff.  and will continue to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • All community events scheduled through mid-April at Care Indeed or with partners have been postponed. We will continue to monitor the situation and send updates next month on future events.

Employee Guidelines & Updates

  • Care Indeed will excuse employees under mandatory quarantine from the office for 14 days.
  • In an effort to accommodate and encourage employees to stay home if they feel unwell, Care Indeed has broadened their sick leave policy. For any questions, please contact your Branch Team.
  • Employees under voluntary self-quarantine will be excused from work during this period and allowed to work remotely when possible.
  • Employees experiencing flu-like symptoms will be required to be cleared by a medical professional prior to returning to work.

We are closely monitoring local and global Coronavirus advisories and will continue to update you if the CDC changes its mandatory or voluntary quarantine requirements. Regardless, we are informing all employees and clients about the guidelines, and that we expect them to be followed to support public health and safety. We will continue to monitor and adapt as needed.

What You Can Do Today As a Precaution

  • Follow all expert healthcare agency guidelines.
  • Stay home when you are sick and avoid close contact with people who exhibit flu-like symptoms.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or cough into your elbow/upper arm ("vampire cough"). If you use a tissue, wash your hands immediately after.
  • Follow the CDC guidelines to wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Try not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently used surfaces.

Thank you for your continued patience as we monitor and implement strategies to keep our clients, staff, and community safe.
