Caregiver of the Month: Arnold Sabado

Tell us a little bit about your caregiving journey.

I've been a caregiver since 2008. Much of my experience and training came from working in different retirement communities and with private clients. 

What drove you to become a professional caregiver?

The strong influence of family members and relatives who are also in the medical field exposed me to different paths, including nursing, medical assistance, home health, and caregiving. Once I started my career as a caregiver, I immediately felt this was the position for me – it feels great helping families care for their loved ones. 

What do you like most about your job?

I like knowing that my clients are getting the best service they deserve and enjoying a high quality of life. Understanding the unique needs of each client is a learning process and challenges me daily to improve my abilities. 

How would you describe Care Indeed's culture?

It's an honor to work at Care Indeed – it's a great company that helps you grow professionally. Management not only cares deeply about the client's needs but also for their employees. CI has an open-door policy, we can call with any concerns, and we feel supported. 

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My free time is bonding time with my family. As long as we're all together and happy, we enjoy activities like playing sports, going on adventures, and traveling – whatever we come up with! 

What do you think about being the employee of the month?

I'm so very proud and surprised - being chosen means they are noticing and have faith in my abilities. 

Is there anything you want to share with your colleagues?

To make it simple – willingness. Lear from coworkers and your team, observe, listen, adapt, and accept. Also, sharing ideas and experiences will provide better teamwork and keep you focused on one goal. Most importantly, remember to be engaged with your client, and that will lead everything else in the right direction.
